Susan’s Top Five Tips To Get Out of The House Fast
Susan believes a successful exit strategy is all about using a minimum amount of products for maximum effect.
1. Start with a Good Quality Make-Up Base
Choose either a BB or CC cream. A BB cream is a little lighter while a CC Cream has some colour correcting properties which is great for ageing, reddish coloured skin.
Susan loves the Garnier Skin Active BB cream which is often priced around $10! Susan uses the light shade. There are often only limited colour options in BB range so if the colour doesn’t work for you, why not mix 2 shades?
2. Bronzers and Blushes
When you put foundation on your face, you effectively take your face back to zero so putting back contouring and shading into your face is essential
Susan loves the Charlotte Tilbury palette called Glowing Pretty Skin Palette about $100. Available online. It; a multi-palette which includes bronzers, blushers and highlighters.
Alex loves her Sephora Snow Glow palette which also offers a bronzer, highlighters and a blush. This was a Christmas special bought in December 2019 which is no longer available but keep your eyes peeled closer to Christmas because that’s when all the good stuff is launched!
3. The Eyes
Of course, use mascara and eyeliner but Susan’s quick tip for maximum effect is the Mac paint pots which are effectively a small pot of easy to use cream eyeshadow. These come in a multitude of different shades. Susan loves Indian Wood but there are so many to choose from! And they are around $40 each.
4. The Lips
Susan loves Nude Stix which are multi purposed sticks that can be used as a lipstick, blush or eyeshadow. Use your middle finger to apply as a lipstick. These are the ultimate multi-purposed, time saving product! They give a beautiful natural look but you are also able to ramp up the intensity simply by applying more product. Susan loves the Nudies Matte All Over Face Color Blush & Bronze stick in Sunset Strip. They are just over $50.
5. Don’t Forget About The Hair!
Susan is a big fan of dry shampoo. Dry shampoo is perfect for someone who doesn’t wash their hair everyday. Susan uses it mostly around her crown. She sections off her hair and sprays it at the roots and leaves it for 5 minutes. She then tussles it into her hair which absorbs the oil and also adds volume.
The girls are both big fans of Batiste Dry Shampoo – around $15 – best investment ever!!!!
The Girls Favourite Luxe/Less Products
In each episode, Alex (and her guest) are going to share their favourite luxe and less products.
Luxe – Clarins Lip Oil – she loves the Candy shade – about $35
Less – Revlon Kiss Glow Lip Oil – $12
Luxe – Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate – $72 for 30ml bottle
